Glenn Hoddle was born on October 27, 1957 in Hayes, London. He played as an attacking midfielder for Tottenham Hotspur, AS Monaco, Chelsea and Swindon Town and at international level for England.
He was celebrated as a gifted passer blessed with supreme touch and vision. He is most closely associated with Tottenham Hotspur, for whom he played 377 times and scored 88 goals.
While at White Hart Lane he won the FA Cup in 1981 and 1982 and the UEFA Cup in 1984.
