Marcos Evangelista de Morais, known as Cafu, was born on June 7th 1970 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Known as one of the greatest ever full-backs of all time, Cafu played professional football between 1989-2008.

Cafu started his career in his hometown club of Sao Paulo, before moving to Real Zarargoza, Juventude and Palmeriras.

In 1997, Cafu made the move to AS Roma where he won the Scudetto in 2001. During his time at Roma, Cafu earned the nickname II Pendolino.

Despite making the Coppa Italia final with Roma in 2003, he moved to AC Milan and won his second Scudetto and Supercoppa Italiana in 2004. In 2007, Cafu successfully won his first Champions League winners medal after beating Liverpool in the final. In his last season at the club, Cafu won another Supercup and the Club World Cup. In his last Milan game, he scored a goal in their 4–1 victory over Udinese.

Cafu is the most-capped Brazilian men's player of all time with 142 appearances, including a record 20 World Cup games. He won 2 World Cups with Brazil (1994 and 2002) and is the only men's player to participate in three World Cup final matches.
