Luis Fernando Diaz Marulanda was born in Colombia on January 13, 1997.
Luis started his professional career in Colombia, playing for Barranquillia and Atletico Junior.
He joined Portuguese club FC Porto in 2019. In his first season, Diaz made 50 appearances and scored 14 goals, helping the team win the league and the Taca de Portugal.
Luis had his breakthrough season during 2021-22 season, starting the first half of the season with 14 league goals in 18 games and being named Forward of the month for October and November.
While on international duty in January 2022, Diaz signed five year contract with Premier League side, Liverpool FC.
Luis made an immediate impact, helping the club win the FA Cup and produced a Player Of The Match performance in the clubs victorious FA Cup final against Chelsea.
Luis made his international debut for Colombia in 2018. He was part of the squad that came third in the 2021 Copa America, winning the Golden Boot alongside joint top goal scorer Leo Messi.
