Vinnie Jones was born on January 5, 1965, in Watford, England.

After leaving school he worked as a hod carrier, while playing non-league football for Wealdstone. In 1986 the tough-tackling midfielder signed for Wimbledon, who had just been promoted to the old First Division, nine years after becoming a Football League club.

Jones was a key man for the notorious ‘Crazy Gang’ quickly building himself a reputation as a fearsomely competitive central midfielder for the Dons. He played in Wimbledon’s legendary 1-0 FA Cup final victory over Liverpool in 1988, the greatest upset in the history of the world famous competition.

As well as representing the Dons during two successful spells, the midfielder also played for Leeds United, Sheffield United, Chelsea and QPR, racking up a total of 386 appearances.

Three weeks before turning 30, the midfielder made his international debut for Wales versus Bulgaria in a Euro 96 qualifier at Cardiff Arms Park. It was the first of nine caps.

After retiring from football, Jones became an actor, appearing in a number of hit movies that include Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, Mean Machine, X Men: The Last Stand, and Madagascar 3.
