The Way We Use Information
We use the information you provide about yourself when placing an order to complete that order. We do not share this information with outside parties except to the extent necessary to complete that specific purchase, for example by sharing with DHL to enable them to deliver the order. Encrypted card details are securely passed to Stripe to enable the purchase. Exclusive Memorabilia Ltd does not sell, rent or exchange your personal details with any third party. We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. Such addresses are not used for any other purpose and are not shared with outside parties.
Our Commitment To Data Security
Exclusive Memorabilia Ltd has a committed Security Policy. All sensitive and credit card information supplied by any visitor to us is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. SSL is commonly used for managing the security of message transmission on the Internet through public-and-private key encryption and a digital certificate that establishes your credentials when doing Internet business or other on-line transactions. This certificate is issued by a certification authority. When you are asked to enter any credit card information the web site will be secure. This is easily identifiable by a closed lock in the address bar. SSL ensures that the information being sent is secure.
Stripe Security Statement
Exclusive Memorabilia Ltd uses the Stripe online payment system, using SSL for security, and does not hold any customer card details on our server at any time. As a Payment Service Provider, thousands of businesses outsource their transaction security to Stripe. It is their top priority to ensure that transaction data is kept secure at all times.
Transaction security
All transaction information passed to the Stripe Systems is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted and any messages sent from Stripe are signed using MD5 hashing to prevent tampering. You can be completely secure in the knowledge that nothing passed to the Stripe servers can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information.
Encryption and Data Storage
Once on the Stripe systems, all sensitive data is secured using the same internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards used by, among others, the US Government. The encryption keys are held on state-of-the-art, tamper proof systems in the same family as those used to secure VeriSign's Global Root certificate, making them all but impossible to extract. The data held by Stripe is extremely secure and Stripe is regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure it remains so.
Links to banks
Stripe have multiple private links into the banking network that are completely separate from the internet and which do not cross any publicly accessible networks. Any cardholder information sent to the banks and any authorisation message coming back is secure and cannot be tampered with.
Employee access
No individuals within Stripe are able to decrypt transaction information or cardholder data. The systems only allow access to our most senior staff and only in extenuating circumstances (such as investigations of Card Fraud by the Police). Your transaction information and customer card information is secure even from our own employees because their systems never display the full card numbers, even on administration screens.
