Alun Wyn Jones was born in Swansea on September 19th 1985.
Jones started his senior rugby career at Swansea, while he was in the Ospreys academy. In 2005, he made his debut for Ospreys. Jones spent 18 seasons at Ospreys, making appearances 257 and scoring 120 points.
Alun Wyn made his international debut for Wales in 2006. In 2009, Jones was selected as captain for the first time.
Between 2006-2023, Jones made 158 appearances for Wales, winning three Grand Slams (2008, 2012, 2019) and 5 6 Nation Championships. In 2019, Jones was named 6 Nations Player of The Championship.
Jones was selected for four British and Irish Lions tours, captaining the team during the 2021 tour to South Africa.
AWJ is the world's most-capped rugby union player, with 158 caps for Wales and 12 for the British & Irish Lions.
Jones hung up his professional rugby boots in November 2023, after playing his final game during a Top14 game for Toulon.
