Adam Driver was born on 19th November 1983 in San Diego, California. After failing to be accepted into The Julliard School for drama and an uncsuccessful attempt at an acting career in Los Angeles, Driver joined the US Marine Corps where he served for two years and eight months before being medically discharged due to an injury.
After his military career ended, Driver attended the University of Indianapolis and was subsequesntly successful with another application to the Julliard School from which he graduated in 2009.
Driver's acting career started with appearances in Broadway and off-Broadway productons as well as a series of indie films and TV series. In 2012 he was cast in HBO series "Girls" for which he received three Emmy nominations. This was followed by a long series of supporting roles.
In 2014, Driver was cast as Star Wars villain Kylo Ren in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens", a role that was reprised for "The Last Jedi" and "The Rise of Skywalker". His powerful performance made Adam Driver a household name and paved the way for an ongoing series of major film roles, including for "BlacKkKlansman" and "A Marriage Story", both of which he received an Academy Award nomination for.
