Brie Larson was born on 1st October 1989 in Sacramento, California. She was home-schooled and showed a keen interest in film and acting from a young age. At age six she joined a training program at the American Conservatory Theatre, and at age seven relocated to Los Angeles with her family to pursue an acting career.
In her early career she appeared in a number of TV shows and pilots, and then went on to have a short career in music. She then appeared in a number of independent films including "Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World" and "The Trouble With Bliss" and also appeared in the box office smash "21 Jump Street". In 2015 she played the lead role in "Room" for which she won Best Actress at the Academy Awards.
After a break from acting, she was cast as the title role in "Captain America" which was Marvel Studios' first female led film. She reprised the role for "Avengers: Endgame". Both films grossed over $1 billion.
