John Travolta was born on 18th February 1954 in Englewood, New Jersey. The son of an actress and singer, he was destined for a life on screen and went on to become one of the world's most celebrated actors.
After a series of theatre appearances and supporting film & TV roles, Travolta landed roles in "Saturday Night Fever" (1977) and "Grease" (1978) which were both among the most successful movies of the '70s and catapulted Travolta into mega-stardom.
Travolta continued to have success in a long-series of popular films such as "Look Who's Talking" before starring as Vincent Vega in Quentin Tarantino's "Pulp Fiction" alongside Uma Thurman and Samuel L. Jackson.
Travolta continued his long and succeccful acting career appearing in multiple box office hits including "Get Shorty" and "Face/Off", and has received two Academy Award nominations, a Golden Globe win and a Primetime Emmy Nomination.
