Each month the team at Exclusive Memorabilia will be supporting a different charity or cause either by donating items, donating proceeds from product sales, or raising funds through various events.
This October we are working in partnership with our Exclusive signee, Jonny Wilkinson. Jonny is a patron for the charity Tiny Lives and asked for all charity proceeds to go towards the charity close to his heart.
The Tiny Lives Trust is a registered charity that helps to care for premature and sick newborn babies and their families in the Neonatal Unit based in Ward 35 of the Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle. They supply items, fund new research, fund staff specialists and offer support to the RVI Neonatal Unit. The Neonatal Unit is the Regional Centre of Excellence and provides the care for premature newborn babies, as well as sick newborn babies who require surgery, cardiac input or respiratory support. Tiny Lives is an independent charity where all of their funds are raised by generous supporters, as they do not receive any government funding. Tiny Lives supports more than 750 babies annually, and needs to raise £350,000 a year to maintain their critical services.
Here’s what Jonny had to say when he became a patron, “ I became a patron for Tiny Lives because I have been lucky enough to see the most hard working, dedicated and loving team doing what they do each and every day to save such precious little lives. I also have a very good friend who has benefited from the skills, care and support of the staff on the Special Care Baby Unit. I would encourage people across the region to fundraise for Tiny Lives to help families at a critical time in their lives because Tiny Lives provides incredible support to not only the staff and babies on the Special Care Baby Unit but also to the babies families. I can only stress what an incredible charity Tiny Lives is. I am proud to be a ‘tiny’ part of it.”
To help support the charity, for every Jonny Wilkinson signed item sold this month we will be donating 10% to Tiny Lives Trust. We are hoping to raise as much money as we can for this incredible charity!
